The main goal of the popular Spartan Race, which is held annually all around the world, 130 races in all, is to get as many people as possible to engage in healthy sports activities. As in running, for instance… But the race is also meant to help those folks who cannot do sports for health or other reasons. And that’s where the Spartan Charity Run comes into the picture.
Held for the first time in 2016, Spartan Charity Runs are now integral part of the Spartan Race philosophy the world over. It’s really running with a purpose.
“Giving back to the communities we’re doing our races in so successfully, is our way of saying Thank You”, smiles Michal Kúkola, Race Director Czech Republic. “It’s heart-warming and it gives us a lot of satisfaction that we’re able to make an impact and a difference in the lives of children and people less fortunate than others through our Charity Race.”
The Charity Race already enjoys overwhelming support of Spartan participants, with thousands expected to enroll in this year’s races as well.
“We’re proud to have been chosen by the Spartan Race committee to be the recipients of the funds raised here in Central Europe”, says Manfred Franke, founder and chairman of C4C. “It’s an awesome concept and we’re looking at it as an honor – and an opportunity to reach even more children with our programs and initiatives”, he continues.
