C4C receives 2500 Euro check from rally organizers for its humanitarian work with children in Slovakia.
Once a year the city of Ulm in Germany witnesses an unprecedented gathering of beautiful, vintage automobiles. The old-timer enthusiasts of the annual Donau Masters Rally have arrived at their starting point! Organized by Mercedes Benz to keep alive the mythos of the legendary automaker, the rally nevertheless welcomes all old-timer brands.
Covering a distance of roughly 850 km, the tour follows the beautiful Danube river from Ulm to Budapest, with stopovers in both Regensburg and Bratislava.
Taking pride not only in their immaculately cared for vintage vehicles, but also in their social engagement, the rally participants make a generous contribution at the end of every stopover to a popular local charity, to show their commitment to those less fortunate than others. This is where C4C comes in…
“It has come to our attention, through one of the local Bratislava Rotary Clubs, that C4C has been doing a fantastic job here in Slovakia in helping orphans to achieve a better quality of live and integrate successfully into society”, remarks Martin Sloboda, organizer of the Slovak part of the event, as he passes on a 2500 Euro check to C4C representatives Alena Zdvidalova and Vasek Cermak, who travelled from Prague to Bratislava to attend the hand-over ceremony. “It is a pleasure to be able to contribute this check toward your admirable work in this country.”
C4C, being a legal entity and non-profit civic organization in Slovakia as well, has long been actively involved there in helping children in need and at risk to have a better chance in life. It has in the past received awards and commendations for its activities from the former Slovak Ambassador H.E. Ladislav Ballek and city of Kosice mayor Dr. Trebula.
