Today Chance 4 Children (C4C) representatives met with managers of the popular Haircity salons to discuss possible extended educational and employment opportunities for children residing in orphanages. The program got initially on its way about 6 months ago, when Haircity was still operating a limited number of salons in the country.
With now more than 30 Haircity outlets operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the program is ready to kick into full gear. Each of the salons is equipped and ready to offer several orphans from the surrounding areas “hands on” hair styling training with the possibility of immediate employment after graduation from their respective instituions.
Thanks to the active involvement of Jana Peringerova, Hair City Director for both countries, this program is well underway to become a hit with the participating youth. Says Rafal Wojas, C4C‘s operational manager: “Thanks to Jana and Hair City, lots of young folks in orphanages now have much brighter prospects for meaningful employment after exiting the institutions they spent their youth in.
