Every Friday something remarkable happens at the doorsteps of some of the neediest orphanages and institutions in C4C’s neck of the woods:
A team of ROBIN HOOD volunteers arrives with a load of fresh fruits and vegetables, often including oranges, pineapples, mangoes and other tropical delights – food items out of reach for the scant budgets of these homes.
“Fresh tropical fruits is something we all take for granted in our daily diets,“ says Maris Duntavs, currently C4C’s Procurement Manager, “but the children here have to do mostly without them.“
For many years now the EFES Produce Company in Prague has donated these healthful and nutritious dietary additions for the benefit of the children C4C cares for. We think they are remarkable folks!
