We are excited to share more great news from our work within the Erasmus+ program. Our cooperation with this European initiative successfully continues, and the third year of Discover EU project has just been launched this week with a trip under tents through the beautiful landscapes of Austria and Slovenia (you can find more information about this trip here, as well as in one of the upcoming articles).

This project gives young people from children’s homes and disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to discover Europe, experience new cultures, and most importantly, learn how to function in unfamiliar environments. Through traveling and shared experiences, they gain valuable skills that support their personal development and help them integrate into society.

And the good news doesn’t stop there! 🎉

New accreditation received!

C4C has also received a three-year Erasmus+ accreditation, opening the door to more educational opportunities abroad. This will allow us to organize:

  • Training trips and courses for youth workers,
  • Development programs and international meetings for our Rise Up youth community.

“I believe the impact of these activities is simply incredible,” says Petra Erguvanli, C4C Program Coordinator. “The Ride to Inclusion projects are the perfect start in life for young adults from challenged backgrounds.

As for the educational trips for caregivers from children’s homes, these journeys not only give them new knowledge and skills, but also allow them to personally experience what they can then pass on to young people – openness, courage, and the desire to explore new things.”

First steps were already taken – this summer we carried out an educational trip with caregivers and directors of children’s homes to Albania. The program was varied in nature, ranging from practical self-defence training (the ESD method) to meetings with the management of a local children’s home, and the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues from homes across the Czech Republic. Participants gained new skills, inspiration and powerful personal experiences that they can apply in their daily work with young people. Further information can be found here and here, and we will provide more details about the trip in an upcoming article.

For us, Erasmus+ is not just about traveling. It is about opening new opportunities, breaking down barriers, and strengthening self-confidence – both in young people and in those who guide and support them. We are deeply grateful to be part of this story and watch our work grow because of it.
