We are pleased to announce that on September 26, 2022, the Regional Authority of the Central Bohemian Region approved a nationwide public collection in support of C4C (Chance 4 Children).
If you are approached on the street by a friendly and smiling individual asking for a donation to support C4C’s programs, you can be assured that this is a legitimate initiative. This is an officially recognized nationwide public collection aimed at raising funds for C4C’s three main programs: “Robin Hood,” “Springboard,” and “Dr. Clown.” These programs are aimed at helping needy children, youth and elders who are either institutionalized, sick or socially disadvantaged.
C4C supports needy children through activities such as:
- Relief of trauma for long-term hospitalized children, nation-wide, through visits from therapeutic clowns – C4C’s Dr. Klaun team
- Implementing EU Erasmus and Erasmus+ initiatives
- Foreign language education
- IT and computer skills training in children’s homes
- Cooking and baking lessons
- Organization of creative music workshops and music instruction
- Psychological therapy and socialization support for children in children’s homes
- Counseling for youths leaving institutional care
- Free provision of appropriate clothing, toys, computers, and educational equipment for children in children’s homes and hospitalized children
- and many other activities
Based on the certificate issued by the Regional Authority of the Central Bohemian Region on September 26, 2022, for an indefinite period (Reference No. 119137/2022/KUSK, File No.SZ_106903/2022/KUSK), the contribution amount will represent 40% of the item’s selling price. This authorization is granted in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 of the Act on Public Collections.
