On the weekend of 10. – 11.9.2022 we had the opportunity to meet at Sletiště during the Kladno City Days. C4C and Dr. Klaun have their headquarters in Kladno and we think it is important to commemorate it in a “patriotic” way. Our Dr. Klaun team has been helping in the Kladno hospital for over 20 years.
In Kladno, we are all close to each other, especially during the Kladno City Days – a mega event with concerts of famous singers and bands. Apparently up to 10.000 people turned up there this year!
To all of you who stopped by our Dr. Klaun stand to see us, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We were very happy to meet you outside the hospital, even though some of you actually knew us from there. Many of you have also told us that you already have our book Fairy Tales to Doodle by – and how it gives joy to children.
We met nurses and doctors, this time in civil clothes, as well as people who are notoriously healthy and have never thought about our work. They stopped by to ask what we actually do in these hospitals. Well, we make up jokes, sing, play the ukulele, play games, develop motor skills, do magic, assemble balloons, sometimes do art and read – whatever is needed to make the children or the elderly at the bedside feel better. Because Dr. Klaun goes to places where it’s not cheerful – and it’s purely cheerful.
Thank you!! To all the “Kladonians”, who stopped by our booth, it was nice to meet you. Thank you very much to everyone who supported us in the charity box. We turn every crown into a smile for someone who is currently spending their days in hospital.
