Recently, our mentor Monika Kavanová pointed out to me, that the Gernetic company, owned by her husband, would like to give away a very nice set of furniture as part of the reconstruction of its premises in Prague. By coincidence, we were just visiting kids in the children’s home in Žatec, and its director Lenka Woloszczuková was very excited about the news – literally:
“We are just setting up another school and study room – we need it very much now that the children are required to learn online all the time. This possibility came just at the right moment!”
And so began the lightning action! Next we contacted our partner, ESA Logistika Kladno. They agreed to handle the complimentary transport of the furniture on the requested date. Our lovely Dr. Clown team, who for the most part isn´t allowed to visit children in hospitals presently, offered their help – instead of red noses, they put on overalls and played movers. Even the owner of Gernetic, Ladislav Kavan, rolled up his sleeves to help.
In no time at all the truck was loaded and the kind driver from ESA Logistika headed to the Žatec children´s home, where many, more than willing, hands were prepared to help unload and place the furniture into the new study!
Only a few days led from idea to realization, few phone calls and coordination emails – and everything concluded smoothly! Where there is a will to help and cooperate – there is always a way!

It is our sincere wish for the children in Žatec, that the newly created space will make online learning more enjoyable for them!
