C4C’s Position and Policy Statement

We have received many requests to clarify C4C’s position with regard to financing, associations and partnerships. We therefore felt it imperative to confirm what C4C stands for and what we believe in.

During C4C’s 25+ years of existence, we have repeatedly been approached by some of the three biggies in civic life: religion, politics and finance (we generally just refer to them as the “usual suspects”…)! NGOs such as C4C, who rely on gifts and donations for the most part, are often contacted for sponsorship agreements by said entities.

C4C has a long-standing policy to reject politically or religiously motivated contributions in order to avoid any association bias. However, if a gift or donation is offered out of kindness and in good faith, without any strings attached, we generally see no reason to refuse it, no matter the affiliation attached to it. But please do note the “generally” caveat!

C4C at its core is a non-religious and non-political civic organization with the exclusive aim of making a difference in the lives of ill or needy children and (as of late) seniors as well (our “older children”). We thrive on enhancing the lives of the disadvantaged, ill or forlorn, offer aid in any way possible and endeavor to spread love and kindness on the way. Our team is mainly made up of highly motivated staff members, dedicated to this simple, core principle: finding satisfaction, fulfillment and happiness in the meaningful pursuit of making others happy and making a contribution to a better world.

We offer our humanitarian services for free and are supported by kind and like-minded individuals, companies, organizations and from public collections.

We welcome all folks and organizations of good will and intentions and we happily cooperate with other NGOs with similar goals, since we aim to share best practices and find truly sustainable solutions. We also do our due diligence as to whom we wish to cooperate with. We generally are inclusive and care not for the political, religious or sexual orientation of anyone wishing to cooperate with us or work for us.

However, there are certain limits, too. We will not allow anyone to use our good name for publicity purposes or purported alignment of ideas and philosophies or any other association bias. In other words, we are willing to work with you whether you belong to the political right or left, are catholic, protestant or shaman, black, yellow or white, queer or straight, as long as you don’t imply an association or alignment in values with C4C – and if you are in agreement with our values as stated above.

C4C’s position remains strictly neutral when it comes to the critical issues of our time, especially religion, politics, immigration, etc., which sadly divide so many of us. As the atmosphere around these topics becomes ever more heated and polarized, we continually strive to respond to all people in need, regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, gender or political persuasion.
