In June, the C4C Robin Hood team joined forces with the HH foundation and food giant Danone again. We delivered over 10,000 fruit pouches to children’s homes and senior homes and while at it – gave away another 4 pallets of brand new clothes for children and teenagers.
“Thank you Danone for the pouches! They come in very handy for the children on their various outings. And most of all, they taste good,” said Milan Čížek, the head educator from the children’s home in Nové Strašecí.
“Not only the children like them, but also the adults,” laughs nutritionist Dominika Šmídová from the home for the elderly in Unhošt’. After all, the joy of the grandmothers and grandfathers is quite evident from the photos.
But it is not only food that keeps a person alive – apparel makes a person. So, our incredible superwoman (and Goodwill Ambassador) Markéta Franke went to the children’s home in Žatec this month again to make the children happy with fashionable, new clothing that Chance 4 Children distributes every month in various children’s homes thanks to the support of the charity organization HH.
“A lot of joy,” smiles Markéta happily. “These visits work like a battery charger. For me, and for the children as well.”
Indeed, the reaction of one of the boys speaks for itself: “Markéta,” he rejoiced, “I wanted to buy a new pair of jeans, I have 200 crowns for them, but my aunt said she couldn’t do it today, not until tomorrow. Now I have new jeans and I can use the 200 for something else!”
