“Small Change – Big Difference!” campaign underway in Prague’s Hilton Hotels

If you’re planning to stay in one of the two upmarket Hilton Hotels here in Prague – make sure you don’t opt out when the checkout clerk asks you for an extra Euro for the benefit of Chance 4 Children (C4C)!

Starting in October, the Hilton Foundation, in conjunction with C4C, launched a, to date, already very successful drive to raise much needed resources for C4C’s popular programs for children in need and at risk.

The drive is being promoted under the catchy slogan “Small Change – Big Difference” (SCBD) and if you’re a Hilton client, there’ll be no escaping from catching the message. Determined to make it a winner, Juliette Marin, the Hilton’s campaign coordinator, is sparing no effort to bring attention to the program. From posters, tent cards, key voucher slips and in-house TV messages, the Hilton makes sure their customers are being made aware of the importance of the drive and how far reaching the results can be for the children C4C is reaching through their programs.

“When we were advised to look for a recipient for the drive, the first one that came to mind was Chance 4 Children”, smiles Marketa Sebkova, who occupies the PR and Marketing portfolio for both Prague Hilton Hotels. “Manfred and his dedicated team are doing a wonderful job in this country helping and integrating children with social and physical handicaps and they are a great example of how to make much out of little”, she adds, referring to C4C founder and Chairman, Manfred Franke.

C4C and Prague’s Hilton Hotels are looking back on more than 6 years of successful and effective team-working on various fronts. The exclusive Annual Hilton Charity Concert has netted nearly 1 million CZK since C4C first became the recipient of the drive. The management of the Hilton also graciously opened its doors on a complimentary basis for C4C seminars and events throughout the years. Recently, the Hotel has hosted a series of computer literacy classes on its premises as part of C4C’s “Smart Kids – Education 4 Children” program.

“The management team of the Prague Hilton Hotels has time and again proven its social commitment to the community it does business in,” comments Terence Fane, C4C’s vice president and financial director. “When called upon, they’ve often gone above and beyond their call of duty when it came to helping C4C and the children we’re aiding”, he added.

So, if you’re planning on staying in any of Prague’s fine hotels for a business event or a weekend of relaxation and good dining – why not make one of the Prague Hilton Hotels your destination of choice – and, while doing it, help C4C raise the funds it needs to stay effective and afloat?
