A Christmas to remember: C4C Jackets

12.01.2008

Jackets are something we here at Chance 4 Children (C4C) have had an abundance of in the past. Throughout the years we have received tens of thousands of them from brand name manufacturers and other organizations for the benefit of our ROBIN HOOD program. The ultimate recipients were thousands of needy kids who are now braving storms and weather inside of them as a result.

But this is about a different kind of jacket. The proverbial exception to the rule, these jackets were actually meant for C4C’s staff and all our dear volunteers! Surprise! Complete with Chance 4 Children logos and individual embroidered names, they were a Christmas gift from Joern Kurzrock, Managing Director of SKOFIN! All 40 of them!

“Where there is a good team, there should also be team jackets!”, states Hans Christian Zink, franchise owner of Hertz Rent-a-Car and honorary board member of C4C. In his free time he is a serious race-car driver, and team jackets go literally hand in hand with the sport. Rumor has it, that the idea of the C4C jackets originated with him. “I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving!”, adds Joern Kurzrock. “C4C is doing a great job and it’s been a privilege providing the customized jackets for these dedicated folks!”

And so it came to pass that the whole team received two personalized jackets each, one for the winter and one for all seasons. Thanks for the nice surprise, Joern! What a great idea!
