ESA logistika a.s., long-time partner and supporter of C4C, recently came up with another idea to make the day of children from children´s homes more interesting: they arranged the opportunity for the kids to train floorball under the auspices of a no. 1 professional club – Tatran Střešovice.

“We have been a supporter of this club for more than two years and have the opportunity to train with its players from time to time,” explains Jindřich Karas from ESA, the initiator of the event. “We have agreed that today we leave this chance to the children. They will get the opportunity to meet the professional players and ask them about everything that will interest them.”

And so, on 24th of February, sixteen children aged 13 to 19 from four children´s homes made their way to the Tatran grounds. They are all big sports fans, so some even arrived an hour early to make sure they didn’t miss anything!

The children first had a training session with the A-team players and after the training they got the opportunity to see the sports facilities in the complex. There was also an autograph session 😊

It was great to see the girls and boys training together, big and small, all with a huge passion for the game,” rejoiced Petra Erguvanli, C4C’s event coordinator. “Floorball is becoming one of the most played sports in the country; it definitely makes sense to encourage kids to take up the sport.”

As a thank you, the children brought small gifts and in return took away souvenir T-shirts made for them by ESA. It was an unforgettable experience for them. Tatran’s coach Michal Plecitý and player Milan Meliš gave the children a wonderful time.

It was completely different from what we are used to,” they shared their feelings with us. “We usually work with kids from functioning families. What was most noticeable was their gratitude and their desire to be helpful. They all behaved perfectly. It was a very enjoyable experience and we look forward to seeing them again.”

We are happy that Tatran can be part of such a project, it is great to support children in sport,” added Jakub Menhart, General Manager of Tatran Střešovice, who helped C4C with the organisation of the event. “I would definitely like to continue our cooperation with C4C.”
